Final Post
I chose Bill Gates as leader to profile not only because of the success he created as the founder of Microsoft, but more importantly for his philanthropic endeavors, particularly in the field of education. Due to his positive charitable influence, someone may decide to follow in the footsteps of Bill Gates. Perhaps Gates’ greatest legacy will not be Microsoft Windows, but his ability to inspire people to strive for their dreams. If society can continue to produce innovative, determined, and generous individuals, then Bill Gates will be remembered as one of the world’s most influential leaders.

Bill Gates began his foundation to benefit so many others and this is a great example of his moral purpose as a leader. He also works each day in the midst of the change process by creating so many technological improvements. He is certainly a leader in his chosen profession. Additionally, the success of his foundation in enlisting the support of so many others is a testament to his relationship building. Finally, his company would not be successful without the knowledge sharing and coherence making that he employs throughout the Microsoft Corporation.
ReplyDeleteHillary Clinton shares many of these succeses as well. Her leadership capacities strongly mirror the techniques that Bill Gates also uses. Clinton will definitely inspire people to achieve their dreams because she was not afraid to be a pioneer in the political world. I also believe that she has a strong moral compass and that she strives to make the world a better place for others. I only hope that I can learn from these leaders and try to inspire my students and co-workers in some of the same ways.

ReplyDeleteBill Gates is an influential leader. I believe it is rare for one to be innovative, determined, and generous. Gates has developed many positive relationships through his charity and the Microsoft Corporation. Gates portrays Bennis’s basic ingredients of leadership. Gates displays a “guiding vision” through his constant efforts in the Microsoft Corporation. Gates also displays “integrity” through his charity work. I believe both Trump and Gates share these two ingredients in leadership. Trump’s “guiding vision” and “integrity ”are also evident through his work.
